The frame carries this one: an oval sapphire is ringed by a fine line of diamonds, and that halo in turn sits inside a raised yellow gold outline, so the drop reads as two concentric ovals, one bright and one warm, closing around a core of blue. A small gold bail takes it straight onto the chain with no swinging link between.
At 23 by 13 millimeters it hangs just below the collarbone and keeps its shape at conversational distance instead of collapsing into a glint. 2.36 carats of sapphire with 0.20 through the diamonds.
