A halo of round brilliant diamonds sits tight around each emerald cut emerald, close enough that the green remains the widest thing on the earring rather than competing with the frame. The step cut opens a broad flat table on both stones, which shows the color as one even field instead of scattering it, and the two are closely matched.
18K white gold keeps the outline cool so nothing warms the green from the outside. At 12.4 by 10.6 millimeters apiece these cover most of the lobe and read as green well before they read as sparkle. The two emeralds were matched once for this pair and not repeated.
