A cushion cut sapphire holds the middle of this pendant inside a close single row halo of round diamonds, and the frame follows the softened corners of the stone rather than rounding them away. Set in 18K white gold, the metal stays cool and lets the blue read dark and saturated right across the table.
A slim diamond set bail carries the drop on a fine cable chain, so the pendant settles just below the hollow of the throat. At 20 by 12 millimeters overall it is compact, and the halo does most of the work of making it read across a room.
