A cushion cut blue sapphire of 2.64 carats sits inside a pave diamond halo that is itself ringed by a milgrain edge, so the pendant carries two concentric outlines: a bright band of stones, then a beaded metal border. The bail is pave set as well, and short, which holds the drop close under the chain.
White gold throughout keeps the piece in one cool register, blue and white with no warm break anywhere. At 22 by 14 millimeters it holds its rounded square shape clearly against dark cloth. Diamonds total 0.28 carats.
