An oval sapphire sits in a single row halo of round diamonds, suspended from a short pave bail on a fine 18K white gold cable chain. The halo hugs the stone tightly, which keeps the drop compact and almost round in outline rather than drawn out.
Against white gold the blue holds its depth with no warm cast anywhere on the piece, and at roughly 20 by 12 millimeters the pendant hangs just below the throat where it takes direct light easily.
