An oval sapphire is caught in a close halo of round diamonds, and above it a small cluster of further diamonds bridges the gap to a yellow gold bail and chain. White around the stone, yellow above it: the two metals split the drop cleanly in half.
At 3.26 carats the sapphire carries enough weight to hang straight and stay facing forward, with 0.32 carats of diamond spread across the halo and the link. The pendant measures 23 by 11 millimeters and sits just below the collarbone, where the gold takes up the warmth of skin and the blue holds itself apart from it.
