A cushion cut sapphire in deep blue is ringed by a halo of round diamonds set in bright white metal, and the two tone pairing is deliberate: warm 18K yellow gold at the bail and along the rope chain, cool white immediately around the stone.
The drop runs about 21 by 13 millimeters, broad enough to read as a distinct block of blue rather than a single point of color, and the fluted bail gives the piece a little architecture where it meets the chain.
