The bail on this pendant is unusually long: a tapered band of pave diamonds runs from the chain all the way down to meet the halo, so the drop takes an elongated teardrop outline instead of hanging as a plain framed stone.
Inside the halo a cushion cut sapphire reads very dark, close to ink under indirect light, and the ring of small round diamonds around it does the work of keeping the outline of the stone visible against the 18K white gold. The drop measures roughly 21 by 12 millimeters and hangs from a fine cable chain.
