An oval blue sapphire of 3.78 carats is ringed by round diamonds set in a scalloped border, each stone in its own beaded collet so the outline reads as a row of small circles rather than a smooth band. That detail gives the pendant a slightly formal, older cast, and the 0.44 carats of diamonds sit far enough out from the sapphire to leave a visible line of white gold between stone and frame.
The drop measures 22 by 13 millimeters and hangs from a fine white gold chain, falling at the top of the chest where the blue is the only color in play. Everything in the mount is white, which lets the sapphire read as dark and saturated by comparison.
