The oval sapphire sits low in yellow gold claws and the real interest is at its sides: a triangle of three small diamonds in white metal on each shoulder, points turned outward, so the head reads as a wedge of white opening away from a block of blue. The shank stays narrow and unadorned, and nothing competes with that shape.
At just under a carat the sapphire covers most of the width across the top of the finger without standing far off it, and the yellow gold warms the stone where the two edges meet. Sized 7 US.
