There is no halo on this one. An oval sapphire in a deep navy blue is held by four yellow gold prongs and flanked by two runs of square cut diamonds channeled into the shoulders, their straight edges sitting flush with the top of the band. The result is squared and architectural where a halo would have been soft.
The stone sits low and close to the finger, and the diamond rows stretch the head visually so the ring reads longer than the sapphire alone would suggest. 1.98 carats of sapphire and 0.18 across the shoulder stones.
