An elongated cushion sapphire sits inside a close pave halo, the small diamonds following the stone's rounded corners so the outline stays soft instead of square. Pave continues down both shoulders and stops partway along the shank, leaving the underside of the band plain white metal.
With 18K white gold everywhere but the middle, nothing warms the blue; the halo raises the light right at the stone's edge and makes the face read considerably wider than 2.00 carats on its own would suggest. The head is compact and upright, and at size 7 it clears the neighboring fingers.
