A cushion cut sapphire sits low and close to the finger here, gripped at each corner by paired prongs on a flat 18K yellow gold band. Three small diamonds are channel set into each shoulder, running level with the band instead of climbing to meet the stone, which keeps the profile tight and the outline squared.
The blue reads soft rather than inky, and the warm metal frames it without pulling the color toward gray. At size 7 US the squared head covers most of the width of the finger and sits flush against a plain band.
