An oval sapphire sits inside a close row of round diamonds, the halo pulled in tight so it reads as a bright outline rather than a second ring of stones. Below it the band is plain and slender, squared at the edges and running to the setting with no shoulder work at all, which leaves the blue nothing to compete with.
The center weighs 2.36 carats against 0.18 carats of diamond in the frame, mounted in 18K white gold at size 7 US. It sits low and compact on the finger, and from across a room it resolves to one bright blue point ringed in white.
