The halo here is not a plain circle of stones. Diamonds are gathered into rounded petal shapes that curve away from the cushion cut sapphire at the corners and the sides, giving the head a flower outline and a scalloped edge that breaks the light into separate small bursts instead of one continuous ring.
Inside it the sapphire sits square and level, 2.32 carats of deep blue against 0.24 carats of diamond in the frame. The 18K white gold band is narrow and entirely plain, stepping down sharply from the head so the flower stands proud of the finger at size 7 US.
