The band is the thing to notice here: a very fine shank, barely wider than the diamonds set into it, carrying micropave most of the way around before it arrives at the head. Against that thinness the cushion sapphire looks larger than 2.42 carats would lead you to expect.
The stone is held in four slim claws with nothing beneath or beside it, standing a little proud of the finger so light passes under the crown. Blue runs deep and even across the cushion, and the 0.22 carats of diamond in the shank keeps a thin bright line traveling toward it from both sides. 18K white gold, size 7 US.
