Three elements, read across the finger: a round diamond at one shoulder, the sapphire in its halo at the center, a matching round diamond at the other. The elongated cushion sapphire of 2.44 carats is ringed by a close halo of small rounds, and the two flanking stones sit apart from it in their own yellow gold settings.
That spacing gives the ring its rhythm. It reads almost as a three stone arrangement even though the outer stones are far smaller, and the plain yellow band between them keeps the composition legible from across a room. 0.22 carats of diamonds in total.
