A split shank does the structural work. The band divides ahead of the head and passes the center stone as two parallel rows of pavé diamonds, so the sapphire appears to float in the gap between them. The stone is an elongated oval set upright along the finger, held by white gold prongs at the corners of its long axis.
White gold is the right call for this blue. No warm metal comes near the stone to soften it, so the 2.62 carat sapphire reads at full saturation and the 0.24 carats of diamonds along the shank only sharpen that. The silhouette stays narrow, roughly the width of the stone itself.
