A cushion cut sapphire of 2.66 carats takes up nearly the whole head of this ring, and the halo around it is kept deliberately thin: one row of small round diamonds tracing the cushion outline, enough to draw an edge of light and no more. Nothing else is set anywhere on the piece.
The band runs plain, narrow and rounded straight into that halo with no shoulder work at all, which is exactly what makes the stone read as large as it does on the hand. White gold keeps the surround neutral so the blue stays cool and undiluted. Ring size 7 US.
