Round diamonds gather into a tapering triangular cluster at each shoulder, so the light collects at the two sides of the ring and leaves the top and bottom of the stone open. Between them a 2.72 carat oval blue sapphire stands in four claws, set high enough to sit clear of the white gold band.
The clusters narrow as they run into the shank, which pulls the eye along the finger and makes the sapphire look wider than its outline. Size 7.
