The halo is cut as a soft cornered square while the sapphire inside it is a plain oval, and the mismatch is what gives the head its character: small round diamonds follow a cushion outline in white metal, leaving four wider corners of brightness where the two shapes disagree. The sapphire itself is 3.08 carats of dense navy, closer to ink than to sky, held in four yellow prongs.
Below the head the 14K yellow gold shank widens and carries a fluted groove along each shoulder, running up to meet the white halo plate so the two metals stay clearly divided. At 0.18 carats the diamond content is small on purpose and never competes for attention. The ring sits broad and flat across the finger, nearer to a signet in proportion than to a raised solitaire. Shown in a US size 7.
