A large oval sapphire fills the head, and the diamond halo around it is set in individual claws that spike outward between the stones, so the edge reads as a soft sunburst instead of a smooth ring. The center runs to 3.02 carats and the head reaches close to the full width of the finger, while the shank behind it stays thin and completely plain. That contrast between a wide top and a narrow band is what stops the ring from feeling heavy.
White gold and blue is a cold pairing and this ring commits to it, with no warm metal anywhere to soften the edge. The head stands proud of the finger, high enough to pick up light from the sides as well as straight on. Ring size 7 US.
