An oval sapphire sits inside a single row of round diamonds, and the shank splits below the halo so that two slender pave set lines run down each side of the finger before rejoining at the base. That split leaves an open V of bright metal on either side of the head and lifts the halo clear of the band.
18K white gold throughout keeps the piece in one register, so the blue of the sapphire is the only color anywhere on it. At size 7 US the head reads oval and upright, taller than it is wide, and the pave carries the light down the shoulders.
