The sapphire is a cushion, squared with rounded corners, and at 3.06 carats it covers most of the width of the finger. What makes the ring is the halo: the diamonds are set to the same cushion outline rather than a plain circle, so the two shapes sit concentric and the sapphire is carried to the edge of a much larger silhouette.
Diamonds continue down both sides of the split shank, four short rows in all, which takes up most of the 0.46 carat diamond weight; between them the 18K white gold is left plain and polished. Doubled prongs hold the corners of the stone. Sized 7 US, with custom sizing available on request.
