A cushion cut blue sapphire of 3.34 carats holds the center in four claws, ringed by a single row of round diamonds that follows the cushion outline instead of settling for a plain circle. The halo squares off the head and makes the stone read larger than its measurements suggest, while the shank stays narrow and unset so nothing competes for attention.
