More than ten carats of green amethyst, cut as a long emerald cut with clean parallel steps and clipped corners, taking up close to the full width of the finger. The green is pale and cool, nearer mint than grass, and a step cut at this size presents it as broad flat sheets of color rather than as sparkle. Four corner claws hold it and otherwise stay out of the way.
Underneath, the shank splits: two slim bands leave each shoulder and both are pavé set with the small white topaz before rejoining behind the finger. That split is what makes 10.48 carats of stone look supported instead of perched, and it puts the 0.12 carats of topaz where it actually registers, running along the finger rather than crowding the center. Bright sterling silver keeps the whole thing neutral. Sized at 7 US.
