The hoop is built from two metals that alternate the whole way around. Five oval morganites per ear sit in rose gold plated claws, and between each pair of them a white metal S curve twists across the band, pave set with small white topaz. The result is a rhythm of warm pink and cool white rather than a plain line of stones, and the twist picks up light from angles a flat hoop would miss.
The peach pink of morganite is soft enough that the rose plating meets it almost exactly, which is why the stones look set into the metal rather than onto it. At 22 millimeters across and only 5 deep, these stay close to the lobe and follow its curve.
