All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
An oval opal cabochon is suspended inside an open marquise frame outlined in pavé, so the diamonds draw a pointed oval around the stone instead of sitting against it. A plain polished gold arc crosses the top of that frame and runs up into a pavé set bail, and it is the frame, not the stone, that gives the pendant its 34 millimeter length.
The opal is pale and milky, its color surfacing softly under the dome rather than breaking into hard flashes, and the 14K yellow gold warms it from the outline inward. On a fine chain the drop hangs just below the hollow of the throat, tall and narrow at 14 millimeters across.
