The heart here is an outline rather than a solid shape, and it is drawn entirely in small round sapphires set shoulder to shoulder in shared yellow gold beads. The middle is left open, so what hangs at the throat is a blue perimeter with the neck showing through it, which keeps a pendant of this width from reading heavy.
Because the blue is broken across many faceted stones instead of gathered into one, the pendant scatters small points of light as it turns rather than flashing all at once. It measures 18 by 12 millimeters and swings from a hinged yellow gold bail on a fine cable chain.
