Here tanzanite is held in a compact, almost square setting of sixteen by fifteen millimeters, close enough to the lobe to read as a cluster rather than a drop. The natural stone carries the blue and violet depth that gives tanzanite its following, more than three and a half carats across the pair. Sterling silver keeps the focus on the color, and no second pair was made.
