Two rings of diamonds circle the oval tanzanite here: an inner halo tight against the stone, then a second, wider row set beyond an open gap. The gap is what does the work, letting light pass through the frame rather than packing it solid, and it makes the pendant read far larger than its 4.46 carat center.
A short line of diamonds continues up the bail. At 29 by 18 millimeters this has real presence at the throat, and the white gold holds the blue in the tanzanite forward.
