Round brilliant tanzanite, one stone to each ear, held in a plain four prong basket of sterling silver. At 6 millimeters the stones stay compact, but the color runs right through them, violet under one light and nearer blue under another, and the thin white claws put nothing between the eye and that shift.
Each setting sits flush against the lobe with the basket tucked behind the girdle, so from the front the pair resolves into two round points of color and no visible metal beyond four small tips.
