Square step cut peridots, one to each ear, held at the corners by four slim claws that leave the girdle clear on all four sides. The faceting reads as a set of concentric squares stepping down to the table, and that suits the stone's yellow green: the color comes back as a steady even glow across the face rather than as a scatter of small flashes.
At 7 by 7 millimeters they sit flat and square against the lobe, and 2.28 carats across the pair puts a real block of color at the ear with no extra structure holding it. Bright sterling silver frames each stone, cool against the warm green, and beyond that there is nothing else in the design.
