All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Each earring hangs in three articulated sections: a pear shaped amazonite cabochon at the post inside a pavé outlined frame, a seven stone tanzanite flower below it, and a large pear shaped pink opal cabochon at the base cradled in a crescent of pavé set white stones. The joints between the sections let the drop swing on its own as the head turns.
Color moves down the piece rather than repeating, from the soft green blue of the amazonite through the violet blue of the tanzanite to the opaque, chalky pink of the opal. The plating reads distinctly rose against that pink. The two opal cabochons account for most of the 31.8 carat total and return a broad even light rather than facet flash, which is what gives the pair its 51 millimeter reach.
