Scale is what registers first here. Twenty-two oval Swiss blue topaz average better than a carat and a half apiece, set east to west in a single row with the stones nearly touching, so thirty-five carats read as a broad and even line rather than a delicate one.
Four prongs hold each oval and the rhodium plated sterling silver between them is kept narrow, letting the blue run almost uninterrupted from clasp to clasp. A box clasp with a figure eight safety catch closes the bracelet at 7 inches.
