Five round tanzanites are spaced along a fine cable chain, each closed inside a plain sterling silver bezel so a smooth rim of metal circles the stone and nothing stands proud enough to catch. The chain between the stations is left bare, which sets the five apart as separate points of blue violet instead of a continuous run of color.
Tanzanite moves between blue and violet as the angle changes, and spaced out like this the effect arrives as five small independent shifts rather than one broad one. The stones weigh 1.64 carats together. A lobster clasp finishes the chain at 7 inches.
