All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Four royal blue sapphires, square cut with stepped tables, alternate with five round brilliant diamonds across the front of this band. Each stone sits in its own set of yellow gold claws, so the row reads as distinct blocks of blue and white rather than one continuous line.
The diamond weight is the quiet argument here: 1.23 carats across five stones works out to nearly a quarter carat per diamond, matched against 2.06 carats of sapphire. The stones run across half the circumference, so the weight and color ride on top of the hand while the back of the shank stays plain, comfortable, and easy to stack against.
Sapphire is the September birthstone and the traditional stone of the fifth and forty-fifth wedding anniversaries, which makes the band an anniversary ring in fact as well as in name. It works just as naturally as a wedding band for a hand that wants color in the row, or as the anchor of a stack.
The band exists as a single example, made in size 6 US; no second has been produced.
