Close to twenty round tanzanites are packed into a domed hexagonal cluster here, the larger stones toward the middle and smaller ones stepping down the sides, each held in its own set of claws. The 5.24 carats is the total across the group, which is what lets the head spread this wide while still sitting up off the finger.
Tanzanite moves between blue and violet depending on the angle, and a cluster shows that better than one stone can: turn the hand and some facets take the blue while their neighbors go violet. The sterling silver claws stay bright and thin between the stones. Ring size 7.
