All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
An openwork disc, 45 by 31 millimeters, with the Aquarius water bearer worked into it in gold plated relief, the figure pouring into scrolling waves that fill the lower half of the circle and leave the upper half largely open. The single amethyst, 0.22 carats, is not on the medallion at all: it is bezel set into the bail above it, a small point of purple where the pendant meets the chain. The disc is pierced throughout, so the motif reads as silhouette.
