All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The amethyst is an emerald cut, 12 by 8 millimeters of step faceting that holds the purple in long parallel bands instead of scattering it into points. Around it the rhodolite garnets are every one a marquise, laid in two concentric rings with their tips running tangentially, which turns the outline of the head from a rectangle into a cushion. Four small square white topaz sit at the top, bottom and sides where the two rings meet, each a cold white full stop between the reds.
Purple against raspberry is a close pairing rather than a contrast, and the rhodium plated sterling silver drawn between them is what keeps the two from bleeding into one another. On a size 6 the cushion covers the full width of the finger.
