A cushion cut smoky quartz sits at the lobe inside a rounded square silver frame, and a larger cushion cut amethyst hangs beneath it in a matching frame, joined by a short link so the lower stone swings clear. The amethyst falls at the paler end of purple and the quartz runs warm brown; read together they step through a single tonal range rather than striking a contrast.
Both stones carry a crown cut into a grid of small facets, which breaks the light into squares across the table instead of a few broad flashes. Sterling silver gives each a plain rounded border and stops there, keeping the outline simple at 26 by 12 millimeters.
