All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
These are hoops, not drops. Oval amethysts run continuously around the outer face of each hoop and again around the inner face, so the purple reads whether the earring is seen straight on or from behind, and the sterling silver shows only as the claws and the fine bridges between stones. Close to a dozen ovals make the circuit on one face alone, set with their long axes across the band so the color runs unbroken.
The hoop measures 25 millimeters across and 4 millimeters wide, hinged at the top with a click closure that tucks away behind the stones. On the ear it sits as a ring of color against the side of the face, the inner row showing every time the head turns.
