Five emerald cut amethysts hang in a single line down each earring, every stone in its own four claw basket and linked to the one below it so the whole strand articulates. The purple is not uniform from stone to stone, some running deeper and some lighter, which keeps the line from looking machined.
At 42 by 6 millimeters this is long and very narrow, and because the links are open the strand sways instead of swinging as one piece. Spread across ten stones, the 5.48 carats stay individually small, so what reaches the eye is a line of color rather than any weight at the lobe.
