Each earring falls in three articulated tiers, and every tier carries its own amethyst: an emerald cut at the top, an oval in the middle, a pear at the bottom. That is six stones across the pair, 6.08 carats in all, and the violet shifts from a clear mid purple in the step cut stone to something deeper and denser in the pear.
White topaz, 0.86 carats of it, outlines each tier in small round stones set into scalloped sterling silver frames with pointed corners. Hinges between the tiers let the whole drop move. At 45 millimeters it clears the jawline and swings with the head; at 16 millimeters wide it stays slim enough to read as a line of violet rather than a solid plate.
