The amethyst is an emerald cut of 5.24 carats laid east to west across the finger, its long facets stepping down in parallel so the purple stays deep and continuous instead of flashing. Four corner claws hold it and nothing else touches it, and the stone sits low and flat, close to the hand.
Forty-four small white zircons form a single rectangular halo that follows the outline of the amethyst corner to corner. The band carries no stones at all: it is plain polished rhodium plated silver, tapering from a wide shoulder down to a narrow back. Size 8.
