A cushion cut amethyst holds the center of a squared halo, the frame of small bright stones following the rounded corners of the gem and lifting a fine line of white all the way around it. The bail is handled the same way, a short squared tab set with more of those small stones, so the brightness carries down from the chain into the frame instead of stopping at the top of the pendant.
The amethyst is a strong violet, dark enough through the middle to keep its color under a frame this bright. At twenty-seven by seventeen millimeters the pendant resolves as a distinct rectangle at the throat, and it arrives on a fine cable chain in matching white metal.
