All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The head is a square set on point, and almost all of it is open. A round amethyst sits at the middle, circled closely by small round tanzanites, and beyond that circle the frame is empty except for four gold bars that span the gap like spokes. A pave outlined border closes the square, so the ring reads as a piece of architecture with the stones suspended inside it.
Two metal colors do real work here: white along the outer border and around the stones, yellow gold in the spokes and the inner cage. The amethyst runs 2.58 carats and the tanzanite 0.82 carats across the surround, purple shading into blue violet as the eye moves outward.
