A cushion cut amethyst fills the top of this ring, set square to the finger and held at each corner by a pair of prongs. At 5.84 carats it carries a deep grape purple through the body of the stone, with a paler violet washing across the crown where the facets flatten out.
Both shoulders are packed with small round tanzanites, laid in staggered rows so they fan outward from the centre stone rather than lining up single file. Their violet blue sits a full step lighter and cooler than the amethyst, which stops the two purples from blurring into one another. Sized 7 US.
