A heart cut amethyst sits at the centre with a halo of small round white topaz following its outline exactly, down into the cleft at the top and out to the point at the bottom, so the head keeps its heart shape instead of softening into a circle. More topaz continue a short way down each shoulder before the band runs plain to the back.
The ring is two toned and deliberately so. The halo and its settings are white metal while the shank and the four prongs on the amethyst are yellow, and that warm frame at the corners of the stone pulls a red note out of the purple that an all white setting would leave cold. Sized 7 US.
