Each earring is an openwork marquise shaped plaque rather than a solid cluster. A single marquise cut aquamarine sits at the middle inside a navette frame of white topaz pave, and ten pear cuts fan out around it, points inward, with narrow pave ribs threading between them so light passes through the gaps.
The aquamarine here is very pale, near colorless in the face up with only a cool wash of blue coming through the pavilions, which keeps the piece looking silvery rather than blue at any distance. Sterling silver settings and 35 by 15 millimeters of length on lever backs make them light to wear.
